Little Johnny Jumper...

Yesterday, at my parent's house, we decided to get out the little jumper for Jonathan. My mom said my brother had one when he was a baby and they could stick him in it for hours and he would have a blast. I'm all for finding things to occupy Jonathan when I need to get things done, so we put it together and he saddled up. I thought I was going to have to help support his head because he can sit up by himself, but he still falls forward if not supported. We were all surprised when he held his little body up like a champ and started bouncing away! Below are pictures but I wasn't able to upload the video.

He jumped for about 30 minutes while my parents, Joseph and I sat in front of him on the floor. Happy as a clam one minute, meltdown the next! All of a sudden he starts wailing! I totally don't blame him, though. He's never exercised his legs before! Can you imagine how tired he must have been? We put him in his car seat to leave, said good bye to my parents, loaded him up in the car, all the while crying... And as we were pulling out of the driveway, complete silence. He konked and slept the entire hour home! Bless his heart!

A new lease on life!

Joseph gets the worst migraines and he thinks they stem from watching tv and being at the computer. Because we can't live without doing either, he decided to go to the eye doctor. Check out my hottie hubby!
Snuggling with Jonathan. Joseph thinks he looks like an old man in this picture. I happen to love it!

Playing PS3 with Joey

Ok, I know he's not wearing his glasses in this last photo, but I couldn't resist putting it up. He's so cute in his Scout shirt!

I thought I had more pics of J with his glasses. These definitely don't do him justice. You'll just have to see for yourself. He's adorable and he's all mine! :)

Summertime and the livin's easy

I absolutely LOVE the summer and this is the first year I haven't worked all day, every day, so I actually have a tan! Being a stay-at-home mommy definitely has it's perks, and going to the pool at least once a week is one of them.
I found the cutest swim trunks for Jonathan at The Children's Place along with a hat and sunglasses. I have to say he's the pimpest baby on the block! :) And, he is such a calm little guy. Very rarely does he cry and he loves his swing, so it's very convenient to take it along and stick him in it so mommy can swim laps. He usually just plays by himself or falls asleep.

I love putting in the pool. He's so funny when his belly first touches the water. He does these little gasps until he gets used to it. Then he's a splashin' fool! And, he actually goes under water! I put him under for the first time on Memorial Day and he was a little champ! He doesn't even cry! So, I have a feeling he'll be swimming by himself before he even starts to walk! These pictures are kind of a hodge podge from the beginning of summer to this past Wednesday.

New blogger in da house!

So, this is my first time blogging! I absolutely loved reading my sister-in-law's blog as well as my husband's cousin's. (If that's not too confusing). I thought I'd give it a shot. Who knows? Maybe I'll actually keep up with it!

Let's see... the most exciting thing that's happened in the past few days is Jonathan ate "real food" (aka rice cereal) for the first time on Monday. Look how happy he is! He was so cute in his little high chair and bib. Everytime we brought the spoon out of the bowl, he opened his mouth like a baby bird. And made the most adorable noises. Like happy sighs, but with enthusiasm. He is such a joy in our lives and Joseph and I thank the Lord everyday for the sweet spirit he brings to our household. I don't know what our life would be like without him!

I can't believe he's already 4 1/2 months. If I could freeze time right now, I would. He's at that stage where everything is new and exciting, he gazes at me all day, he squeals with joy everytime he wakes up and sees either Joseph or me, and he snuggles non-stop. What a beautiful baby boy! When you're pregnant, everyone tells you, "They grow up so fast!" And you smile and nod politely. But it's so true! I can't believe I'm the mother of a 4 1/2 month old!
